Verland's Country Jamboree!
On June 7th, 2003, Verland celebrated their Silver Salute recognizing 25 years in maintaining a wonderful community lifestyle for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The event was a dramatic success and great fun was had by all! It was held at the Sewickley campus on Iris Road from 1 p.m. through 6 p.m. and the theme was Verland's Silver Salute Country Jamboree.
Over 900 people attended the happening and enjoyed great food, games, wagon rides, and Country Western Entertainment! The staff provided tours of the group homes. Others were entertained by miniature golf, train rides through the campus and a petting zoo.
