Verland
Celebrates the 2004 Annual Harvest Festival
Verland’s Annual Harvest Festival is always a
special time of the year for our individuals and their families as well as
Verland staff. Celebrations consist of
Halloween costume contests, games for the children, great food at the barbeque,
good music provided by one of Verland’s very own DSPs, Ryan Markyl, and one of
the best bonfires in town! The
scarecrows made by the ATF classrooms were very creative and looked
spectacular. All the houses were
beautifully decorated - their themes were very creative and the individuals’
costumes were great. The winners for
this year’s Harvest Festival contests were:
House 102 - best pumpkin, House 103 - best decorations for a
house and House 104 - best costumes. The band was excellent and we’re hoping to
get them back for our 2005 Harvest Festival!
Thank you to all the staff who planned, organized
and assisted with this year’s festivities - Harvest Festival 2004 was a great
success because of your hard work!
