As Verland enters its 30th year, we’re looking forward to our 26th Annual Golf Open, to be held Monday, July 28, 2008 at The Club at Nevillewood. This is Verland’s largest fundraising event and will be even more exciting during this special Anniversary year.

There will be vacations, cars and cash prizes on the Par 3 holes, golf clubs to raffle away, a special door prize for the women golfers only and many more prizes to distribute throughout the day!

• Registration begins at 10:00 a.m.,
• Lunch is from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.,
• Dinner and the awards ceremony will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Although this is Verland’s largest fundraising event of the year and promises to be an exciting, fun-filled day, we cannot forget the real reason we hold this outing – to raise money to continue providing state-of-the-art support and services in a state-of-the-heart fashion to 231 individuals with intellectual disabilities and other disabling conditions who call Verland "home".

On Monday, August 6, 2007, Verland celebrated it's 25th Annual Golf Outing at The Club at Nevillewood. The funds raised at this event through your kindness and generosity, due to your big heart, will help Verland tremendously throughout the year. We're very happy to report that we netted almost $113,000 because of a very generous $37,000 donation from John M. Schneider, President, P rivate Wealth Advisors, Inc., a local Pittsburgh firm.

We're thrilled that this occurred on the occasion of our 25th Verland Open! We love all of you - old friends and new - who made this happen. Together, we've raised over one million dollars in twenty-four years for Verland through this event. Netting almost $113,000 in our 25th year is a grand start towards our goal of raising another million dollars for Verland in the next ten years. We're looking forward to seeing you all at next year's 26th Annual Outing, which will be held once again at The Club at Nevillewood, on Monday, July 28, 2008. Thank you!
