Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy (OT) Department at Verland provides therapy sessions that encourage purposeful use of the individual's upper extremities. Detailed evaluations take place yearly, and programs are customized to meet each individual's needs.

The OT Department also provides training for our staff members that work with visually impaired participants. Along with our consultants who work in this area, the department has an Activity Therapy Specialist. This specialist incorporates fun activites into procedures which encourage use of upper extremities.
