There is a dire workforce crisis in our nation. Private providers of community supports and services are struggling to recruit and retain a quality workforce. The ANCOR-supported NAC is dedicated to raising federal and public awareness about the workforce crisis threatening community-based supports and services. The campaign's objectives are: Effect national and state public policy changes to address the direct support workforce crisis in the U.S. Raise public awareness regarding the critical role direct support professionals play in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. Obtain wage and benefit enhancements for direct support workers. Secure incentives for solidifying a career path for direct support workers.
